Jesse Giffin is an emerging Graphic Artist based out of
Fredericton, NB, who is currently studying at the New Brunswick College of
Craft & Design. Though originally from Winnipeg, Jesse has been living in
the Maritimes since 2005. Jesse was exposed to art at a very young age by his
father, Andrew Giffin, a Fine Artist practicing in a variety of mediums. He has
been drawing, painting, photographing, and creating in all forms ever since and
continues to grow and expand in his creative process.
Jesse’s venture into the arts was propelled when he was
granted the chance to attend the Mount Alison Art enrichment camp in 2010 by
the recommendation of his high school art teacher and the experience proved to
be very beneficial to his artistic growth.
Jesse’s work has since been featured in several exhibitions
including, the SRHS Fine Arts Night in Sussex in 2010 and The BoarderTech
Broken Deck Exhibit in Moncton in 2013. Some of his most recent work is
currently being featured as part of Emerging Moon Exhibition at the Penny
Gallery of the Charlotte St. Arts Centre in Fredericton and is on display until
Oct 23rd, 2014.
While currently studying in Graphic Design, graduating Summer
2016, in the future Jesse plans to continue to explore all avenues of artistic
expression, absorb knowledge & skills and to see where this wonderful life
will lead.
